January 9, 2009 at 9:13 AMActually when i shot that video it just...happened! We were playing the game and i said "Hey, you got a digital camera?" she said yes so i went and grabbed it and then just shot the video. No planning or anything. She actually isn't the friend i want to bring but she said she would come if she was free.
Thanks about the blog, i've actually been working on it since the first gaming group but alas, no one ever posts on it. I've been advertising it on forum websites i'm on or other things like DeviantArt. Hopefully i can get some other people start posting! I'm going to make the blog public so that anyone cant post even if they dont have a blogger account.
PS: If you want the Banner i made for the website, tell me and i will send it to you via e-mail!

January 9, 2009 at 3:24 PMThe girls who you play with-- what do they like to play? How is their playing different from your playing? Or boys' playing? AND do you talk to them about gaming much? What they like-don't like...you know, the kind of stuff we talk about at the focus groups?
It would be interesting to see how much response you get if you open it to the public.
PS. How many friends do you have who play video games AND are girls, just out of curiousity??

January 9, 2009 at 11:11 PMMost of the games I find they play are RPG type games like Fable, FTLC, Kingdom Hearts, etc. I think it can't really be defined by sex as to what the extent of a person’s gamming can go to.
Some guys (such as myself) are gamming freaks as in I spend an entire weekend playing them. While others can barley play any games! The same can be said for women. Ex: There is a woman who is the leader of my Guild in Guild Wars and she played the game for the entire time I was (A whole 13 hours)!
I can't really say exactly how the reactions differ exactly between men and women. The exact amount of my female friends that play videogames is a mystery to me; I can list only 5 off the top of my head.
PS: AGAIN, do you want the Banner for the blog? Or should I delete it?

January 10, 2009 at 4:33 PMHey Zack,
I would love to visit your blog, but could you remind me how to find it. And please send the Banner along.
Is this the first time you've videotaped a friend playing? It was a really good idea, and I think it's something we could try doing in our videogame Saturday sessions -- what do you think?
Do you prefer playing with people in the same physical location as you, or on-line? Or does it make any difference to you?

January 11, 2009 at 3:49 PMMy blog link is: www.vgau.blogspot.com
I will send the Banner along tomorrow (Monday) as it is at school.
I really don’t have a preference as to playing games online or with someone, there are advantages to both! Advantage to playing with someone would be you could show them exactly how things are done and it can give your gaming experience a different meaning.
To play online also has it advantages such as if you play online there is no limit as to how many people you are playing with! Such as in Guild Wars were you play with hundreds of thousands of people all at once!

January 15, 2009 at 1:48 PMHey Zac,
I was having a discussion with this guy the other day about being competitive. In relation to what you were saying about playing online or physically with someone-- do you think you can be more competitive playing online? Maybe because you might be playing with someone you have never physically met, like in another country or something, you might not be as ... easy on them? You know what I mean? But maybe when you are playing with friends you want to help them and have a good time, rather than be really competitive? What are your thoughts?

January 20, 2009 at 3:17 PMThat’s hard to answer, it all depends on who its with, if i like them or not, the mood we are both in, etc... There is no fixed course.

Hey Zac, I saw your Youtube video of your friend playing UT3. Is that the friend you want to bring? Kathy and I liked your filming skills and are thinking we should get you to help us with the filming. You are way better at it! ;)
Do you film game playing often? Is it just for fun, or is it to show people online how to do things??
