December 2, 2007 at 11:31 AMI find art to be extremely important when I'm playing games but yet when I make them I usually don't care. In Guild Wars I find the graphics to be mind blowing even with my crappy video card. But with the "game that steals souls" I find the graphics to be very childish and highly unrealistic- which just happens to be one of the reason I hate that game so very, very much.

December 3, 2007 at 9:39 AMAlright - you are convincing me more and more to play Guild Wars. I really liked 'the game that is not to be named' because of the fanstasy-like world and graphics, but I also chose that game to try because it was so popular.
(On a side note - why do so many more people play that game than Guild Wars?)
Do you think players who play over a longer period of time gain a better appreciation for detailed, artistic graphics...that you just come to expect better and better?

December 10, 2007 at 8:26 PMsome times they are important if you are trying to create a realistic game then it is more important that you focus more on the game play and the characters examples: call of duty and other war games.
but if you are making a fantasie game, then you want to wow your audience with amazing characters with beautiful landscapes with strong vibrant colors and interest ing characters examples:fable, overlord and final fantasie series

December 10, 2007 at 8:31 PMand i agree with what leanna is saying. As games become better and better you just expect better graphics. It always amazes me how some games (well... mostly movies) get so fine tuned that you can see the pores on peoples skin and each strand of hair individually.

December 19, 2007 at 7:50 PMI like to be blown away by graphics, but will not spend much time looking at them too much, I usually build most of my time around trying to beat the game.
Regardless, I tend not to like a game with bad graphics.
A game with good graphics does not make a game good. A game with bad graphics does make a game bad.

December 21, 2007 at 2:33 PMYes, we Guild Wars fans tend to do that! ;)
He is right, Guild Wars have Insane graphics and you can run it on almost any computer! Im not shure about Macs tho because they have different soft-ware instaled on them, but even still, it should work...
I personaly only like games that have good graphics, such as Assassins Creed, Guild Wars, or Oblivion... Oblivion i will admit does NOT have the BEST graphics, but is still an awsome game to play! There are so many people who play Oblivion that there are THOUSANDS of mods out there for your enjoyment...

December 21, 2007 at 2:39 PMOh, BTW, Assassins Creed is by far the best game to have come out for any system in a LONG time... The game is INSANE! They recreated Jerusalem and two other citys for the game and made EVERYTHING interactive, most games you can run around the city, if your lucky you can break a window! In Assassins Creed you not only can break windows, but you can be running through the city being chased by gaurds and see a market stall, break the supports for it so it causes a distraction and make it easier for you to get away...
This and MANY more things are possible when you play Assassins Creed...

October 28, 2008 at 9:18 AMAh... Im bored so i thought i would add another post to the blog.
A new game that has amazing graphics that i have been playing is Unreal Tournament 3! It has the new Unreal engine in it and the Physics in the game are unbelivable. When your person dies you have a fll ragdoll effect so your body interacts with all your suroundings fully when you die and such, when your alive you can jump and do whatever you could normally with the enviroment your given.
